NAME BRAND CLUBS vs. GOLF CLUB CLONES

Two basic considerations in making any purchase including golf clubs is quality and value. In general the quality of name brand golf clubs is very good, however, value for the not so rich and famous is non-existent. Many golfers believe how a golf club performs is dependent upon the price he or she pays for the club. “It has to be a great club, it costs $400!” Quality manufacturing does not mean a quality golf club. If the golf club does not fit your specifications, its probably useless. Ask yourself, are drivers really worth $400 and iron sets $800? In our opinion no, but when companies dole out six-figure contracts to teams of touring pros, fund seven-figure advertising budgets and still make a 20% net profit, one can see the price of name brand clubs is way too high. Also, paying these high prices does not lower ones handicap, in fact, the national average for handicaps has risen 2 shots in recent years. The bottom line is simple, someone is pissing on your shoes and telling you its raining outside.

The “air show box,” an imaginary box where the performances take place, will be over the water, centered at the “Central Mall.” You will know where the exact center is by the Coast Guard vessel, which will be placed there. Anywhere along the boardwalk or on the beach in that general area is a good place to view the show. The best places to park would be in fields 4 and 5.
One thing I assumed we’d probably taken about as far as we could was the art of toast. Toasting bread into toast is a fairly straight-forward and simple process involving heat and pushing down and popping up and that’s about it, other than remembering to clean out the crumb tray every once in a while.
But leave it to the Japanese to improve on toasting. Panasonic’s NB-G100P doesn’t have a heating element. No orange-glowing wires here — instead, it uses near- and far-infrared light that ends up getting hot immediately (up to 500 degrees) so there’s no pre-heating and toast and whatever else you put inside it (frozen hash browns, fresh bagels, toaster streudel, last night’s leftover pizza) cooks 40% faster than typical toaster-ovens.
You’ll need ample counter space for this contraption since it’s over 10 inches tall, but I can vouch for its simple controls and usability — and it manages to make toasting bread cool.
I know I haven’t been posting as much as I used to around here. I’m not quite sure why either! Please accept my apologies for those of you that have become daily readers. NOW LET’S GET STARTED!!!

Someone’s take on how to make the perfect cup…
“All you really need to know to make a perfect cup of coffee is a basic understanding of cheminstry and physics. And if I catch you mucking about with that instant crap, I’ll break your neck.”
This pretty cool! It’s Just like Picture in a Picture, but only for nerds instead of couch potatoes. Go ahead and try it….
