Excel seems to be that multi-purpose application that is used for everything from household budgeting to rudimentary database applications like phone lists or inventory systems, to complex forecasting and analysis functions. Given the ubiquitous nature of Excel, it’s no wonder that ASAP-Utilities came to be. ASAP-Utilities is a package of over 300 macros and scripts (commonly called ‘utilities’ by the creator) to automate common tasks and make difficult processes in Excel much more manageable.
Incredibly, this huge library of helpful additions are provided for FREE. There is a 110 page PDF file available for instructions on how to get the most out of the utilities provided, and there is even a blog in support of ASAP-Utilities and Excel in general.
GotFrag has published a few guides for Do It Yourself computer enthusiasts out there intended to help you get the most bang for your buck when building your own PC.

Resignation “Do’s” and “Don’ts”
Shortly after you hand in your letter of resignation, a security guard, an HR rep or your boss might politely―or not so politely―escort you out the door. That’s typical at large companies. On the other hand, your company might ask you to stay through your notice period. Either way, you might be watched closely in your final hours. Since last impressions can be more powerful than first, it’s a good idea to do all you can to be remembered as a professional and keep your references intact. During reference and background checks, potential employers might contact your former employers as far back as ten years or more.
Have you ever looked at a digital picture or a web site and said, “I like that color, it would work perfectly on my website/graphic” but didn’t want to go through the hassle of comparing it to a color wheel? Or, maybe you have a program, like PhotoShop, but you don’t want to have to run it every time you want to find the RGB value of a particular color. Pixie can help you out.

The object of the game is to move the red block around without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls. If you can go longer than 18 seconds you are phenomenal. It’s been said that the US Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are expected to go for at least 2 minutes.
Give it a try but be careful…it is addictive!! The URL is http://technodaddy.com/redsquare.html
My Uncle Herb sent this to me today and I wanted to share it with you.
You may have already seen this but it won’t hurt to remind yourself.
During a BBQ a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6 pm, Ingrid passed away.)
She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ - had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke perhaps Ingrid would be with us today.
It only takes a minute to read this
Recognizing a Stroke
– A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed an getting to the patient within 3 hours which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the “3″ steps.! Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
1. *Ask the individual to SMILE.
2. *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
3. *Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. . .It is sunny out today) If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
After discovering that a group of non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems, researchers urged the general public to learn the three questions. They presented their conclusions at the American Stroke Association’s annual meeting last February. Widespread use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the stroke and prevent brain damage.

After eliminating ALL possible variables by wiping the Hardrive clean and rebuilding all the applications on my laptop, I still encountered the dreaded “Limited Connectivity” error message.
The only possible explaination turned out to be a blown ethernet controller built onto the main board on the laptop. The simple solution to this uncommon problem was the purchase of the above illustrated PCMCIA Ethernet Controller Card.
