Every once in a while I stumble across a software revelation! I feel like a child in a candy store.

Microsoft Onenote 2007 has become my defacto standard when it comes to note taking in business meetings, repository of collected technical references and now the grand pubah of them all!
.PDF search capability!!!
I feel like such a lame ass for not realizing this sooner, but when I upgraded from Onenote 2003 to Onenote 2007 it installed a new printer driver to my collection of printers called “Send to onenote 2007″. For the longest time I couldn’t understand why Microsoft didn’t have an import .pdf function in it’s really cool piece of software.
Through the miracle of this beautiful little printer driver and the magic of OCR, I now can search my entire notebook including all those darling little .pdf files I have been longing to organize for such a long time.
Now if I can only justify to my boss the cost of a high speed scanner for my home office. ![]()
